He researches emerging trends in enterprise IT, security and software technologies. Additionally, Scott collaborates with technology executives in order to identify innovation and business requirements that can be addressed by Battery’s portfolio and broader ecosystem.

Scott previously performed a similar role at Intel Capital, the investment arm of chip giant Intel Corporation. There, he was a business-development executive and worked with large corporations to maximize the value of their partnerships with Intel-backed technology startups.

He held a number of other roles at Intel Corp., including, most recently, as a director in the company’s “visual cloud” group, where he focused on streaming media and associated technologies. Scott also held several roles in Intel’s Enterprise Solution Sales organization. In addition, he was part of the company’s Sales and Marketing Rotation program, which is designed to launch technical graduates into sales and marketing roles at Intel. As part of his rotation, he worked as a technical sales liaison on a major OEM account with a focus on wireless and mobile computing, and as a technical marketing engineer in a server-products division.

Previously, Scott worked at Mentor Graphics.

Scott holds an MS degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Davis and a BS in computer engineering from Iowa State University, where he graduated with distinction. He has also been published on Entrepreneur.com discussing business development for venture-backed companies.
