Patrick is an experienced life-sciences and industrial technology executive. He was most recently the chairman of SPT Labtech, a life-sciences tools platform where he was previously CEO.

Patrick Bennett, currently an executive-in-residence at Battery, is an experienced life-sciences and industrial technology executive. He was most recently the chairman of SPT Labtech, a life-sciences tools platform where he was previously CEO. SPT Labtech, a Battery portfolio company in the life sciences sample preparation market, was acquired by EQT Private Equity in 2022.

Prior to SPT, Patrick was the CEO of Gardner Denver Medical in Munich. The company, part of the Gardner Denvers group of businesses, focuses on flow-control technologies for medical and life-sciences applications. Before that he spent more than 11 years in various positions in Germany and Canada at Mold Masters, a plastics company that produces hot runners, temperature controllers, auxiliary injection and co-injection systems. Patrick served there as president of EMEAI and executive vice-president, among other roles.

Patrick worked earlier in his career as an industrial engineer and, more recently, as a consultant to private-equity company KKR & Co., Inc.

He graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Technology degree in industrial engineering and earned an MBA from Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada. Patrick is a licensed aircraft pilot in the U.S. and Canada and is also the co-founder of the Phoenix Life Foundation, a Florida non-profit that assists individuals, animals and others in communities who need help due to illness or hardships.
