Lior Mallul

Lior, a vice president, re-joined Battery in 2018 after previously working at the firm as an intern in 2014. He focuses on early- and growth-stage investments in areas including enterprise infrastructure, application software and financial technology. Currently, he is involved with Battery’s investments in 8fig, Cheq, Higlobe, Lanes & Planes, LinearB, Mine, Next Insurance, NorthOne and Paragon.

Previously, Lior spent time as an investment-banking analyst and associate at Barclays, where he worked on cross-industry and product M&A and financing transactions as part of the Israel coverage team. Lior also spent time at Barclays’ headquarters in London, where he worked as part of the FinTech team.

Prior to that, Lior held several operational roles in early-stage companies, including 3D-printing and ad-tech startups. He also served three years in the IDF’s Unit 9900, a specialized intelligence unit. Lior graduated cum laude from the Tel Aviv University with a BA in economics and business management.
