David Coste

David Coste is an executive in residence at Battery, based in the firm’s London office, where he focuses on working with founder-led and growth-stage software companies, particularly those navigating digital transformation and AI-driven change.

David brings nearly three decades of executive leadership experience in enterprise software with deep expertise in ERP, vertical-market software and pan-European operations. Most recently, he served as president at Battery-backed Forterro. During his seven-year tenure at Forterro, David played a central role in scaling the business across Europe, helping drive M&A activity, driving operational transformation across key business units and leading the company’s western and northern European operations.

Prior to Forterro, David held senior commercial and leadership roles at several enterprise-software companies including Infor, IFS and KDS Neo, an American Express company, where he built and led high-performing sales organizations and worked closely with industrial and mid-market customers across Europe. He began his career in France and has extensive experience operating across multiple European markets.

David graduated from Grenoble Ecole de Management in France, specializing in technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
