Welcome back to the Battery Ventures Growth Marketing Podcast. Today’s podcast focuses on storytelling through data.

Originally recorded at the Battery Ventures’ Growth Marketing Summit in December, the podcast features a talk by Dawn Lyon, vice president of corporate affairs at Glassdoor*, about the data-driven storytelling playbook she has helped drive at both Glassdoor and Zillow—two companies that share a common DNA, via co-founder Rich Barton, as well as traits as marketplaces with vast troves of data.

During the talk, Dawn shared advice for marketers on how they too can implement a data-driven storytelling playbook—whether they work at a marketplace like Glassdoor or Zillow or simply a B2B-focused technology company. It all starts with identifying the data gaps in your industry, she advises. Then you must look internally to see how your organization can help fill these gaps.
