Portfolio Spotlight: Amit Bendov, CEO of Gong*
Each month, Battery highlights a different portfolio-company CEO with our “Five Questions in Five Minutes” feature, showcasing the diversity of the Battery portfolio across investment stages, sectors and geographies. The views expressed here are those of the CEO, not Battery.
What does your company do in 10 words or less?
Revenue intelligence—that means AI to help companies operate based on customer reality instead of opinions.
What is your favorite piece of management/leadership advice?
If you find yourself involved in too many details, you haven’t hired well enough.
What’s the most under-rated trend in technology, in your opinion?
Autonomous vehicles. They were overhyped, and have now fallen from grace a bit, but they will change our lives in profound ways.
What Gong accomplishment in the last 12 months are you most proud of?
We are approaching 1,000 customers, and from many of them we’ve heard they see our technology as important, if not more important, than their CRM system.
BONUS QUESTION: How do you keep busy on long airplane flights—like from the U.S. to Israel?
Believe it or not, I don’t watch a lot of movies. I catch up with work backlog, read, stretch and sleep. I also recently started meditating.
