Patrick Hsu

Patrick Hsu is an associate who focuses on early-stage and growth-equity investments in areas including cloud infrastructure, big data, security and next-generation enterprise applications.

Prior to Battery, he worked as an associate at venture-capital firm and venture studio AI Fund, from New York, where he focused on sourcing and due diligence in the applied AI, MLOps, and workflow-optimization spaces. During his time there he also worked to implement a standardized company ingestion system for the fund as well as a CRM system to actively track companies, investors and individuals in the firm’s network. Before that, Patrick was an investor at B Capital Group where he worked on deals including Fabric, an e-commerce infrastructure platform, and Phenom, a recruitment platform that leverages AI. Patrick also worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on shareholder return and strategy for clients and due-diligence projects for private equity clients.

Patrick graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a BS in mechanical engineering as well as business, economics and management.
