Ryan joined Battery in 2014 as a vice president to focus on early-stage and growth investments, specifically in the areas of enterprise software, software-as-a-service, and digital media. Currently, Ryan is involved with Battery’s investments in Appboy, Pendo and Reflektion.
Prior to Battery Ryan was a senior associate at Volition Capital, an expansion-stage growth equity firm specializing in investments in high-growth enterprise software, SaaS, Internet and technology-enabled services companies. There, he sourced and executed investments including Ensighten and Visual IQ and helped generate other investment opportunities. Before Volition, Ryan was an investment banking analyst at BMO Capital Markets and Cowen & Company.
Ryan graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. He was named to the Dean’s List three years in a row and also played Division 1 varsity baseball.
