Chiraag is a vice president in Battery’s San Francisco office. He focuses on early- and growth-stage investments in areas including cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, enterprise mobile and big-data analytics. He is currently involved with Battery’s investments in Confluent, Cypress.io, Fungible, LogRocket, Matillion, MX, Ordr, Privacera, Reflektion, Sensu and Sumo Logic (NASDAQ: SUMO).
Prior to Battery, Chiraag worked in corporate development at Oracle, where he helped source and execute acquisitions for the company, including those of NetSuite and Textura. He also led several corporate operational initiatives, such as optimizing the company’s global data centers and developing long-term operating models for different businesses.
Before joining Oracle, Chiraag was an analyst in the technology, media and telecommunications group at investment bank Barclays. There, he served on several deal teams and performed analyses on various types of transactions. Notably Chiraag worked with Google’s corporate development team and Motorola executives on Google’s $2.35 billion sale of Motorola Home to video and broadband company ARRIS Group.
Chiraag earned a BA in economics, with a minor in business, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
