Overview
Founded in 1992 to develop miniature aircraft for offshore weather reconnaissance, Insitu is a pioneering developer of long-range, unmanned, autonomous aircraft. Sensing in situ means to measure in place, a term that is frequently used in environmental resource monitoring to refer to sensors that collect data within the air mass. Insitu continues to develop innovative UAVs and tools for ISR, communications relay, meteorology and geophysical measurements for both commercial and military purposes.
