Mark joined Battery in 2000 and focuses primarily on software and services, India, mobile, and consumer Internet investments. Mark’s current investments include Donnerwood Media, Mformation Technologies, TechProcess, and Travelguru. Previously, Mark was a Managing Director at Robertson Stephens and led the firm's Software and Internet banking practices. Examples of Mark's IPO, Follow-on and M&A transactions include:

• Software: Arbor Networks, Aspect Development, BEA, Brio, Broadvision, Forte, Genesys, HNC, i2 (Smart), Informatica, Intraware, JD Edwards, NetIQ, HNC, Portal, Quest Software, Retek, Siebel and software.com
• Mobile: Aether, Infospace (Prio) and phone.com
• Consumer Internet: DoubleClick (NetGravity), Individual, Lifeminders, MyPoints and NetPerceptions

Additionally, Mark believes that India will become one of the core venture capital investing hubs of the world. He is on the board of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the US-Indian Venture Capital Association (US-IVCA), to leverage entrepreneurial activities between India and America. Before joining Robertson Stephens, Mark was an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Lazard Freres & Co. and at the advisory boutique of McFarland Dewey & Co. Mark received a BS from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
