Partner Mike joined Battery in 2007 to focus on mid- to later-stage technology investments, and is currently on the Board of Copan Systems and SteelBox Networks. Prior to Battery, he spent four years with Sierra Ventures, where he was on the boards of 360Commerce (acquired by Oracle), AirMedia (acquired by AOL), and Micro Power (acquired by Weston Presidio). He was a board observer for Axentis, DBS Communications, Element Labs, Vykor and Zebra Imaging. Before Sierra, Mike was VP, Entrepreneur Development Operations, at Garage.com (now Garage Technology Ventures), where he personally read more than 10,000 executive summaries and helped dozens of companies raise $330 million in venture financing. Mike spent many years on the technical side of the house, and has been published more than 50 times during his software career. Other career highlights include: General Magic (IPO in 1997) and Storm Technology (IPO in 1994). Mike graduated with honors from the University of California, San Diego with a BS in Management Science. He has held NASD Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses. |
