As Director of IT, Matt is responsible for the management and oversight of Battery’s worldwide technology infrastructure. Since joining Battery in 2006, Matt has supported the growth, expansion, and overall support of Battery’s IT operations before taking on management of the IT function in 2009. Matt is also responsible for the management of Battery’s internal databases, and led the efforts to design and implement a new deal tracking database for the Investment Team.

Matt is actively involved in several industry organizations including the Private Equity CTO Network, Bay Area Venture Capital IT Group and Salesforce.com CIO council. He also advises companies in Battery’s portfolio on building and optimizing their IT operations.

Prior to Battery, Matt was a Network and Desktop Support Specialist at the Eastern Bag & Paper Group, where he supported the network and computer systems in their Massachusetts branch office. He earned his MBA with distinction from Bentley College in 2008 and also holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
