Morgan joined Battery in 1996 and is currently a Senior Advisor with the firm. Morgan’s major investments at Battery included: Nova Metrix (holding company for DGSI, Roctest (pending take private transaction)); Nova Instruments (holding company for Dantec, Brookhaven Instruments); Achronix; Nova Analytics (acquired by ITT); Akara (acquired by Ciena); Nova Technologies (acquired by Idex Corp.); Optium (now Finisar, NASDAQ: FNSR); Qtera (acquired by Nortel); and Veraz Networks (NASDAQ: VRAZ).

From 1992 to 1996, Morgan was an Officer in the U.S. Air Force where he led two "startup" product efforts. In this role, he gained product management experience in data communication, wireless communication, software and client/server architectures. Prior to the Air Force, he was employed at Loral Data Systems where he developed mission management software for the Japanese Defense Agency. Morgan graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a BS in Engineering Science, received an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and was the recipient of a National Science Foundation fellowship.
