Akshay joined Battery in 2007 as an Associate and focuses on private equity investments, including growth equity, buyouts, rollups, PIPES and take-privates. Prior to Battery, he was a Senior Analyst in the Global Technology Group at Citi, where he focused on M&A and equity and debt financings. Notable transactions he has completed include the Nokia Siemens Networks Joint Venture, KKR’s LBO of Flextronics Software and Solutions Business (now called Aricent), and the Heartland Payment Systems IPO.

He graduated with a BS in Finance from Rutgers University, where he also majored in Computer Science.
