Principal Andrew joined Battery in 2010 and focuses on Software and Infrastructure investments from the Menlo Park office. Andrew’s prior experience spans both operating and investing roles. Before joining Battery, Andrew spent four years at VMware, directing corporate development and leading strategic investment and acquisition initiatives. He led six acquisitions, including SpringSource; three early-stage investments with two board observer seats; and a $20m PIPE in Terremark. Prior to VMware, Andrew held various product management and sales roles at a storage systems company, Intransa, that was a portfolio investment of Advanced Technology Ventures, where he was an Associate with their $400m and $800m funds. Before ATV, Andrew held venture and M&A advisory positions at Wasserstein Perella, in his hometown of New York. He is also a partner with SV2 (Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund) a partnership for giving. Andrew graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics from the Wharton School, with a dual concentration in Finance and Operations & Information Management.
