After spending eight years in New York City as an entrepreneur and investor, Mike joined Battery in 2011 and focuses on investments across the software and consumer sectors. Mike is currently involved with Coravin, Happy Bits, HotelTonight, J. Hilburn, Joor, KeyMe, Nitro, RiskIQ, Serena & Lily, and SumAll.
Prior to Battery, he was senior director of strategic initiatives at Conductor, Inc. where he ran the early development of what is now the company’s core product. Conductor is a portfolio company of FirstMark Capital (previously known as Pequot Ventures), where Mike worked as an associate and assisted with the firm’s investments in StubHub (acquired by eBay), Navic Networks (acquired by Microsoft), and Flarion Technologies (acquired by Qualcomm). He was also an analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co. in the global markets & investment banking division.
Mike currently serves on the Board of Venture for America, a Manhattan-based nonprofit placing undergraduates with startups in cities traditionally underserved by technology investors. He has a BS from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
