Mike has been with Battery since 2008. As a principal in the firm’s Menlo Park office, he’s focused on entrepreneurs, ideas and companies building disruptive technology for the enterprise. Mike sits on the boards of Duetto, Platfora and Continuuity, a startup launched out of Battery’s entrepreneur-in-residence program. He is also engaged with Nutanix and Entelo, and previously served on the teams that invested in Delphix, RelateIQ (acquired by Salesforce) and Splunk (NASDAQ: SPLK).
A hardware engineer at Velio Communications early in his career, Mike went on to hold sales, business-development and marketing roles at Altera and Xilinx prior to joining Battery. During this time, Mike was responsible for developing product vision, defining launch strategies, and managing business-development programs at major communications OEMs. While in sales, Mike served as the account manager for Cisco.
He earned a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Mike contributes to Battery’s infrastructure blog and also speaks frequently at industry conferences.
