Congratulations to Netezza Corporation (NYSE Arca: NZ), a leading provider of enterprise-class data warehouse appliances, which began trading on NYSE in July 2007.

Congratulations to BladeLogic, Inc. (BLOG), a provider of leading data center automation software, which began trading on NASDAQ in July 2007. The company was started by an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Battery back in 2001.

With a revenue growth rate of 14,853.3% from 2003-2006, Cedar Point Communications has been recognized by Inc. as the second-fastest growing private company and the fastest growing private telecom company in the U.S. The company was also named as the No. 1 company in two other categories: Companies Intending to Go Public, and Companies in the Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire region.

Insitu, Inc., a pioneer in the design, development and production of small autonomous aircraft for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), ranked 4th on Deloitte's 2007 Washington State Technology Fast 50, recognized for a five-year growth rate of 2,677%.

Cambridge, Mass-based ITA Software, has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts in the publication’s fifth annual awards program. The honor recognizes the company’s achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture.  The company continues to hire and you can find out about current job openings here.

BusinessWeek highlighted TradeKing’s member blogs and Certified Trades capabilities, which allow users to share their trading strategies and history, as an example of the value that social media and networking features bring to trading sites. Battery’s Brian O’Malley said, Incorporating social media, or social networking, features such as message boards, blogs, live chat rooms, and podcasts works to the mutual advantage of both brokerages and their customers.”

SpotRunner, the first internet-based ad agency making TV advertising easy and affordable for local businesses, continues to be recognized for its innovations in advertising and marketing, recently profiled in Business 2.0 as one of the “Next Net 25” startups to watch.

SunEthanol, a biofuels company recently spun out of UMass Amherst, has recently been covered by national media including The New York Times and CNNMoney for its discovery and plans to commercialize the “Q-Microbe,” an ethanol enzyme that has the potential to efficiently convert almost all biomass into ethanol.

Congratulations to Agito Networks, which emerged from “stealth mode” with the introduction of their RoamAnywhere™ Mobility Router — the industry’s first and only business mobile convergence platform that applies patent-pending, RF-based, location-aware technologies to best mobilize voice and data applications. Network World, Network Computing, Wireless Week and numerous other trade publications covered the new product.

Nova Analytics recently announced the acquisition of Bellingham & Stanley, Ltd., the world’s leading developer and manufacturer of high quality refractometers and polarimeters, based in the UK. Earlier this year the company acquired Global Water Instrumentation Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of water monitoring equipment, headquartered near Sacramento, CA.

U.S. News & World Report covered the topic of music piracy on college campuses, including Ruckus Network as a solution to support the effort to crack down on music piracy.

World Golf Tour has signed partnerships with two prestigious resorts, Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C. and Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Charleston, S.C. World Golf Tour, currently in Beta, is the most authentic online golf experience, making the game of golf accessible and affordable to all. The two new resorts will be recreated online by merging high-definition footage captured using helicopters and professional photographers with World Golf Tour’s patent-pending physics simulation engine.

Continuing to innovate in network security, Arbor Networks has introduced Active Threat Level Analysis System (ATLAS), the world's first globally scoped threat analysis network. With ATLAS, enterprises and ISPs can rely on Arbor to deliver comprehensive threat intelligence. For the first time, customers can gain contextualized intelligence on threat activity from a global and local perspective.

Volvo has selected PrimeRevenue to power their Supply Chain Finance (SCF) program for its international supplier community. Olivier Bayzelon, Managing Director, Volvo Supplier Financial Solutions, said, “We have selected the PrimeRevenue SCF Platform precisely because it eliminates problems tied to long payment terms traditional in the automotive industry, and strengthens the financial viability of suppliers to obtain Volvo payments at a time they choose, as quickly as a few days after invoice receipt, and for any payments they choose, with a simple click of the mouse.”

Luminus Devices’ executive team continued to share their industry expertise on high performance, solid state lighting solutions, presenting at key industry conferences, including: LEDs 2007, Projection Summit 2007, Boston University's "Clean Energy: Pathways to Adoption,” and Flat Panel Display International 2007.

Optichron, a fabless semiconductor company, announced the high volume availability of the industry’s highest-performance digital pre-distortion (DPD) linearization device. The OP4400 eliminates nonlinear distortion, which is a dominant performance limiter for expensive power amplifiers used in wireless infrastructure and other signal processing applications.
