Alternative Energy Innovations

Partner Dave Dreessen spoke on “Funding the Future of Solar Technology and Development” (2nd Annual Investing in Solar) as well as at Dow Jones’ Alternative Energy Innovations 2007 on a panel entitled “The Rising Interest in Alternative Energy - From Efficiency to Innovation.”

California Clean Tech

Partner Jason Matlof participated as a judge at the recent California Clean Tech Open Competition, and spoke at IBF’s 8th Annual Early Stage Venture Investing Conference on “The Changed Face of Early Stage Investing.”

MassNetComms

Matt Niehaus, partner in Menlo Park, keynoted XChange Magazine’s Capital 2.0 Event with a talk entitled, “Show Me the Money — Trends in Capital Markets.” And Alex Benik, a principal in our Waltham office, spoke on a panel “What's Hot in Broadband and Network Communications” at the well-attended MassNetComms: Sizzling Summer Summit.

Enterprise Innovations

GP Mark Sherman joined the panel “Tapping the Future of Business Technology” at Dow Jones’ Enterprise Innovations 2007. The panelists discussed how they're approaching the enterprise market, what types of companies they like and what the benefits are to sticking with the enterprise, despite consumer hype.

TiECON East

Neeraj Agrawal, a Waltham-based General Partner, joined this summer’s TiECON East as a panelist to help educate entrepreneurs on the topic “You’ve Got to Stand Out – Differentiate Your Pitch for Funding.”

DEMO

Ken Lawler, GP in Menlo Park, joined the DEMO 2007 NVCA VC Dinner featuring the panel “Venture Capital: A Monogamous Investment Vehicle or Strange Bedfellow?”; General Partner Dave Tabors spoke at Dow Jones’ PEA Conference 2007 on “Seeking the Model of Success”; and in New York earlier this year, GP Scott Tobin was interviewed for a fireside chat at Argyle Executive Forum’s 2007 Leadership in Venture Capital.
