This summer, Battery led the $6M Series A investment in dLife, a division of LifeMed Media. LifeMed Media is a targeted media company focused on consumer healthcare, and is the first to aggregate and organize chronic disease populations as lifestyle or affinity marketing communities. dLife, its first brand, aims to be the leading consumer brand in the diabetes market — currently comprising 70 million people in the U.S. (more than 18 million diabetics plus their families and caregivers). dLife reaches the community through multiple media including dLifeTV (on CNBC) — the first weekly television show on diabetes, dLife.com, dLifeRadio, and dLifeDirectMail. Major advertisers include Abbott, Sanofi Aventis, Colgate-Palmolive and Splenda.
Neeraj Agrawal and Ollie Curme joined the Board of Directors as part of the Series A investment, and are working closely with the dLife team to help build out the organization, product lines, and additional targeted brands.
