Congratulations to MetroPCS (PCS) which began trading on the NYSE in April, 2007. Priced at $23 per share, the initial public offering raised $1.15 billion, making it to-date the largest U.S. IPO of the year. Battery was an original seed investor in the company back in 1995, and invested additional capital in December of 2005. |
Congratulations to Omniture (OMTR), Optium Corporation (OPTM) and Veraz Networks (VRAZ), who all began trading on NASDAQ within the past year. |

Motorola, Inc.’s acquisition of Broadbus Technologies was completed in September of 2006. According to the company’s press release: “With the acquisition, Motorola will extend its robust video delivery platform with new content management and distribution capabilities that address growing market opportunities such as mobile video, video on-demand (VOD), time-shifted TV, network-based digital video recording (nDVR), on-demand ad insertion (ODAI) and switched digital video (SDV).” |

CipherTrust, Inc. was acquired by Secure Computing Corporation (NASDAQ:SCUR) in August, 2006. Secure Computing gained Cipher Trust’s innovative messaging security technology in the $274 million transaction, expanding its gateway security product line. Prior to the acquisition, CipherTrust was recognized as one of AlwaysOn’s “AO100 Top Private Companies for 2006” for its leadership in innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation. |

BladeLogic received the 2007 Data Centers Europe Award for Most Innovative New Data Center Software Product, recognized for rapid adoption by leading enterprise customers and innovative architecture. NetFlix and General Dynamics are among BladeLogic’s most recent customer wins. |

Luminus Devices’ PhlatLight™ LED received the Society of Information Display (SID) 2007 Display Component of the Year Silver Award, the industry’s highest honor. Luminus’ PhlatLight LEDs are an advanced solid state light (SSL) source based on patented photonic lattice technology. They are the only commercially available SSL sources powerful enough to illuminate microdisplay-based rear projection televisions (RPTVs). multiple awards in recent months, receiving recognition from industry
trade publications and analysts for excellence in CRM technology and
customer service. Recent awards include: a customer winning
a National Customer Service Award; Product of the Year Award from Customer

Magazine's Service Excellence Award; and 2007 Product

At the end of last year, three of the world’s largest buyers and sellers of advertising, CBS, WPP and Interpublic Group, made equity investments in portfolio company Spot Runner. Spot Runner is the first Internet-based ad agency to make it easy and affordable for local businesses to advertise on TV. |

The Tennis Channel has reached a multiyear distribution agreement with satellite provider DirectTV. Scheduled to launch later this year, The Tennis Channel will increase its reach by approximately 8 million DirectTV subscribers, in addition to its current presence in 10 million U.S. homes. |

Solar cell and module manufacturer Advent Solar hit an important milestone recently: completion of its first U.S. installation in San Luis Obispo, California. The installation was completed in March and maximizes the direct sunlight that is available to the modules with the use of a dual-axis tracking system. |
