At the top of this year, Battery led a $100M Series A investment in Cambridge-based ITA Software, the first company in more than thirty years to provide a new IT platform for the airline industry. ITA already powers airfare pricing and shopping for some of the world’s largest travel companies and this funding will help grow the team so they may continue to deliver innovative technologies and services for this large and growing market. The company’s customers include: Alaska Airlines, Alitalia, Continental Airlines, US Airways, Star Alliance, Galileo International, Kayak, and Orbitz.
