Since the days of our first fund in the mid-1980s, we have had a long history of technology-based Private Equity transactions. As a firm, we have significant experience working with management teams to accelerate change, tap new markets, re-orient businesses, and build platforms to roll up acquisitions into efficient and sizeable organizations. Our investments range from later stage growth equity, through complex structures such as buyouts, take-privates, PIPEs, spin-outs, distressed situations, and rollups.
Apart from capital, the most important asset we supply is a unique blend of deep technology knowledge, business model understanding, and financial engineering skills. From more than 20 years in the industry, we have developed an intimate working knowledge of customers, competition, underlying technologies, and overall market dynamics. Our team's skills, connections and expertise in company building or restructuring are of crucial importance in these complex deals.
We generally pursue undervalued companies that have a readily identifiable catalyst to unlock value. We concentrate on a few core markets where our nearly 25 years of experience lends informed, strategic guidance:
We generally invest in companies with revenue of $20M to $200M and EBITDA negative to $25M. We are flexible in the amount of money invested, and are able to speak for more than $100M in equity.
