Todd Carey, CIMA®Todd joined Battery in 2006. Previously, he spent more than five years as an Investment Representative in the Private Investment Management group at Lehman Brothers, where he customized investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, family offices and mid-sized institutions. Todd also has experience as a credit analyst in the middle markets group at Citizens Bank of Rhode Island. Todd played professional baseball for eight seasons in the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations. Todd holds a BA in Urban Studies from Brown University, an MBA in Finance from Bryant University, and is a CIMA® designee. Todd currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Bryant University Archway Investment Fund and previously served as Co-President of the Brown University Club of Boston. |

Rick FrisbieRick founded Battery Ventures nearly 25 years ago. In his current role, Rick acts principally as an advisor on the overall management and strategy of the firm. His current portfolio responsibilities are concentrated in the telecom sector and include MetroPCS (NYSE: PCS) and Zayo Bandwidth. Rick’s prior investments include Allegiance Telecom (NASDAQ: ALGX), Cbeyond (NASDAQ: CBEY), Concord Communications (NASDAQ: CCRD), Network Equipment Technologies and several mobile communications investments that became part of Nextel Communications (NASDAQ: NXTL). Rick has served on numerous private and public company boards, and has also been a member of the Board of Directors of both the New England Venture Capital Association and the National Venture Capital Association. Prior to founding Battery, Rick spent six years in venture capital at UNC Ventures and two years in law at Hutchins and Wheeler. Rick holds an AB in Government from Harvard College and a JD from Harvard Law School. |

John O'ConnorJohn joined Battery in 2001 as the Financial Planning Manager. He ran the firm’s Family Office from 2001–2007, during which time he advised the senior partners on their personal investment strategies. Previously, John was a Vice President with the Boston-based financial planning firm RINET Company, Inc. From 1991 through 1997, John held several positions at the regional CPA firm Rooney, Plotkin & Willey, most recently as an audit manager. John has a BS in Accounting from Bryant University and is a licensed CPA. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is on the Board of Trustees of the Roxbury Preparatory Charter School. |
